Authorisation to Carry Firearms
Regular AFOs should be armed with an MP5 and a Glock 17, either one can be in the Trunk of their vehicle.
Members of the OSU should be armed with an MP5/M4A1 and a Glock 17 when deployed as an AFO unit, or whilst supporting the movement of Nuclear Material. Whilst in Public Order Uniform, you should not be carrying a Firearm on you unless you receive written authorisation from the SFC (Strategic Firearms Commander) or a member of the Chief Officer Team. Members of the TFU & SEG should be armed with an M4A1 and a Glock 17.
Members of the TFU may wish to use the GC36 instead of the M4A1.
Members of the Crime Command should not be armed unless given written authorisation from the SFC (Strategic Firearms Commander) or a member of the Chief Officer Team.
Members of the SLT, not wearing a ballistic vest should refrain from using rifles or machine guns and should use the Glock 17 the Saucer P226.
Members of the force with additional certifications such as "Sniper Trained" or "Additional Rifle Trained" should refrain from using weapons that are not for their unit, however they are allowed to use a range of rifles if they want to. Snipers should not be used unless authorisation is given from an Inspector or above.
Use of Firearms
Firearms should not be used unless there is an immediate threat to life, this means you should not be firing it unless needed.
Firearms should not be used to kill "Un-Whitelisted" officers.
Warning shots are strictly prohibited.
